About these quail eggs for hatching

Beautiful Black Coturnix quail hatching eggs available from our own breeding flock, raised here at Waun Corgam Fach Farm in the Welsh countryside.

Our Black Coturnix are a striking dark-coloured variety of Japanese quail, featuring beautiful deep black and chocolate-toned plumage. Some birds may display subtle variations in feather colouring and markings.

About our Black Coturnix:

  • Beautiful dark black and chocolate-coloured plumage
  • Attractive and unusual colour variety

Our eggs are collected from our own breeding birds and carefully selected and packed for their journey.

We take great care with our breeding flock and egg handling. However, as with all hatching eggs, fertility and hatch rates cannot be guaranteed, particularly after postage, as incubation conditions and handling during transit are outside our control. (Price is for 12 eggs)

The world's domesticated quail, the Japanese (Coturnix) quail is a small, speckled brown bird and an egg-laying marvel — top strains lay around 300 dainty, mottled eggs a year, maturing in just six weeks. More about the Japanese Quail
